Eben V. Fogg and wife to J. Evarts Merrill
                      "Deed"
State of Florida } Know all men by these Presents That I Eben V. Fogg of the aforesaid
Alachua County   } County and State for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred
Dollars to me in hand paid by J. Evarts Merrill of the County of Alachua in the
State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold
and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto him the
said J. Evarts Merrill all of that certain lot piece tract or parcel of land Situated
lying and being in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly
known and described as follows to wit: Commencing at the North West corner of the
North East quarter (NE1/4) of the South West quarter (SW1/4) of Section Twenty three (sec23)
Township Eight (T8) Range Twenty one East (R21 E) Thence Running East one
hundred and fifty feet (150ft) thence South Six hundred and Sixty feet
(660ft) thence West one hundred and fifty feet (150ft) thence North Six hundred
and sixty feet (660ft) to the place of beginning the same being a fractional part
of the NE quarter of the SW quarter of Sec Twenty three T Eight R Twenty one E
containing by estimation Two acres of land more or less. Together with all and
singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same
belonging or in anywise appertaining To Have and Hold the same unto him
the said J. Evarts Merrill and to his heirs executors administrators and
assigns in fee simple and absolute. And I the said Eben V. Fogg do hereby
covenant and agree to and with the said J. Evarts Merrill that I am lawfully
seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed and that I have good
and lawful right to sell and convey the same that the same is free from all
encumbrances of any kind whatsoever and that I will and my heirs executors
and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto
him the said J. Evarts Merrill and to his heirs executors administrators 
and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons
whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same. In Witness
Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on this eighth
day of April AD 1882

State of Florida } I hereby certify that on this Eighth day of April AD
Alachua County   } 1882 before me personally appeared Mrs Annie R. Fogg
wife of Eben V. Fogg the grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being
first duly questioned and examined by me separate and apart from her said
husband says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of
conveyance for the purpose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of her
right of Dower in and to the land in said deed described and that said relinquish=
ment and renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily
and without any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from her
said husband
