     James B Brown  to C B Dodd
                Lease
State of Florida   } Know all men by these presents that I James B Brown
Alachua County     } have Leased to Mr. C B Dodd the Store one West Main
Street next to the shop occupied by S H Bunker and the Dwelling House
next to the House on the corner known as my Oold Dwelling all except
the Two Rooms on the North now occupied by me but I hereby
agree not to rent out the said Rooms but to keep them for my on
youse and I agree to give them the youse of the Guarden on
on West Main Street after Syee Harris get off his vegitble
they ar to have the Guardian free of Rent and Should I want
to sell part of it then I am to have the Guarden or to build
one for the Turme of one year from 23rd day of my 1881 and to
give him the right to keep it for Five (5) year provided he give me
written notice before the year is out and the said C B Dodd agree
to pay for the said Store House and Dwelling the sum of Eighteen (18)
Dollar per month but to be found to keep the premises for one
year from 25th day May 1881 the Rent to be payable at the 1st of
each month after the first month and to return the possession
of the property in as good order as received less the Yousal war
and taire of such property and to keep up the fence around
the Guarden free of charge to the said J B Brown in consideration
that there is no charge made for said Guarden he is to have the
Youse of the Back Yard up to the cross fence. In Witness Whereoff
we have hereunto set our hand and affixt our seals this 9th
day of May 1881
