    James Tompkins To Thomas C. Kittles
                  "Deed"
State of Florida  } This Indenture made this Twenty fourth December in
County of Alachua } the year 1853 between James Tompkins of the State
and County aforesaid of the first part and Thomas C. Kittles of State and
County aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the
firs part for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to
him in hand paid by the said party of he second part the Receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold and transfer=
ed and do hereby grant bargain sell and transfer to the said Thomas
C. Kittles his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land
situated in the State and County aforesaid known as Lot Number
Twelve of Fractional Section Twenty Two in Township Eleven South
of Range Twenty Two East containing Fifty Six acres to have and
to hold to said Thomas C. Kittles his heirs and assigns forever with
the Rights and appurtenances thereto belonging and the said party
of the firs part the said Land above described unto the said party of
the second part his heirs and assigns will forever warrant and
defend against all and Every person whomsoever witness my
hand and seal the day and year above written

 Know all men by these presents that I Ann Tompkins wife of the
within mentioned James Tompkins do hereby Relinquish my Right
of dower in the certain parcel of land conveyed by the foregoing
Indenture to Thomas C. Kittles in witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal
Signed in the presence of           }    Ann Tompkins
  J.F. Secrest Justice of the Peace }

  Know all men by these presents that I Ann Tompkins wife of
James Tompkins do hereby acknowledge that the foregoing
Relinquishment of Dower was made by me freely and voluntarily
without any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or
from said husband
Sworn to before me this 24th December 1853     } Ann Tompkins

Alachua County   } Personally appeared James Tompkins before the
Subscriber a Justice of the peace in an for Said County
who acknowledged the within and to be his own act and
deed. Given under my hand & Seal this 24 Dec 1853
