This is to certify that the Florida Commercial Company of
the Town of Palatka County of Putnam and State of Florida has
purchased from the undersigned Edwin Sandys Dawes George
Augustus Thomson and Anthony Norris Trustees of the Florida
Land and Colonization Company Limited of the County of
Orange and State of Florida all that certain tract, lot or
parcel of land lying and being in the Arredondo Grant County
of Alachua and State of Florida and better known and
described on the Plat of said County as follows, to wit: Being
Section Twenty Six (26) in Township Ten (10) South of Range
Twenty one (21) East containing Six hundred and forty and
forty one hundredths (640 40/100) acres more or less of land and water
for which the sum of fifteen hundred dollars is hereby agreed to
be paid in such manner as follows: The sum of five hundred
dollars to them in hand paid the the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged; and also executed two promissory notes both
bearing date this First day of March 1882 and payable as follows
one note for Five hundred Dollars payable on or before one year from date
