      Aaron Higginbotham and Wife To Mary A. Riles
                     "Deed"
State of Florida } This indenture made this eighteenth day of
Alachua County   } September in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and Eighty two between Aron Higginbotham and Martha
E. Higginbotham wife of Aron Higginbotham of the County of Levy and
State aforesaid of the first part and Mary A. Riles and Kate A.
Sparkman of the county of Alachua & State aforesaid of the second
part witnesseth that the said parties of the second part for and in
consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars lawful money of
the United States of America to us in hand paid by the party of
the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant
bargain sell and convey unto the said parties of the second part all
that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in said county
and State and more particularly known as the North East quarter
of the South East quarter of section Twenty five in Township Ten
South of Range Twenty Two East containing Forty acres more or less
To Have and To hold the same unto the said parties of the second
part their heirs and assigns forever and we the parties of the
first agree and covenant with the parties of the second part that
we have good right to sell and convey the same unto the parties
of the second part their heirs and assigns forever and by these
presents will warrant and defend the same against all lawful
claims and demands of all persons whomsoever claiming.
In Witness Whereof we the parties of the first hath hereunto set our
hands and seals the day and year first above written

State of Florida } Be it remembered that on this 18th day of Sept AD 1882
Alachua County   } personally appeared before the undersigned a Justice of the
Peace in and for said County & State Martha E. Higginbotham wife of Aron
Higginbotham grantor in the foregoing deed of conveyance separate
and apart from her husband and acknowledged that she executed
the within deed for the purpose of relinquishing her dower or right of 
thirds to the within premises and did the same freely and voluntar=
ily without any compulsion constraint apprehension fear or dread
of or from her said husband also on the same day personally came Aaron
Higginbotham and acknowledged that he executed the same for
the purposes therein expressed. Given under my hand and seal the day
