John T. Metcalfe and Wife to Mary S. Taylor
                         "Deed"
This Indenture made the twelfth day of September in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty two Between John T. Metcalfe of the
city county and State of New York Phisician and Susan S. his wife parties of
the first part and Mary S. Taylor of the county of Alachua State of Florida
party of the second part Witnesseth That the said parties of the first part in
consideration of the sum of Six hundred & fifty dollars to them duly paid before
the delivery hereof have bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
and convey to the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever
All that certain lot parcel or tract of land in the Arredondo Grant
situated in Alachua County in the State of Florida Known as the South
East quarter of Section thirty (30) in Township Ten (10) and Range Nineteen
(19) East containing One hundred and Sixty (160) acres be the same more or less
Being the same premesis conveyed to the said John T. Metcalfe by Henry G.
Marquand of the city county and State of New York by a certain Deed dated
March 23rd 1873 and recorded in Book "I" pages 470-471 of the Public Records
of Alachua County State of Florida. With the Appurtenances and all the
estate right title and interest dower and right of dower of the said
parties of the first part therein And the said parties of the first part
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second
part that at the time of the delivery hereof the said parties of the
first part are the lawful owners of the premises above granted and
seized thereof in fee simple absolute and that they will Warrant and
Defend the above granted premises in the quiet and peacable possession
of the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever

personally came John T. Melcalfe & Susan Metcalfe his wife to me known
to be the individuals described in and who executed the within conveyance
and acknowleged that they executed the same In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixed my official seal the day & year above
