year one thousand Eight hundred and eighty two personally came before
me the subscriber a Notary Public in and for the County Stated an
officer authorized by law to take acknowledgements of the execution of
conveyances of real estate by femes covert Mary E. Furman to me well known
as the wife of Charles D. Furman who upon private examination
separate and apart from her said husband made and executed the
foregoing acknowledgement

State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that we W.H.
Alachua County } Gay and Rachel J. Gay wife of W.H. Gay
of the County and State aforesaid for and in consideration
of the sum of Ten dollars to us in hand paid by us received
do hereby bargain sell grant and convey unto the Board of Public
Instruction for the County of Alachua State of Florida and their
successors in office the following described premises Situated in the
County & State aforesaid (to wit) one acre of land in the SE corner
of the SE1/4 of Sec (15) Township (10) Range 15 together with all the
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances with every
privilege right title interest and estate reversion remainder
and easements thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining To
have and to hold in fee simple forever and we do hereby covenant
with the said Board of Public Instruction and their successors
in office that we are lawfully seized of said premises that they
are free of all incumbrances that we have good right and lawful authority
to sell the same and that we have good right and lawful
authority to sell the same and that we will warrant and
defend the title to the said premises against the lawful claims
