being duly sworn says that he saw Mathew B. Hawkins sign
seal execute and deliver the foregoing deed of conveyance for
the uses and purposes therein contained and expressed and
that he together with Samuel Gieger signed the same as
Subscribing witness thereto

      George G. Green to F.X. Miller
                     "Deed"
This Indenture made the Eighth day of September in the Year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty two (1882) Between
George G. Green of the City of Woodburry County of Glowcester and State of
New Jersey and Angie L. his wife of the first part and F.X. Miller
of Gainesville Florida of the second part Witnesseth that the said
party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
five thousand dollars lawful money of the United States of
America well and truly paid by the said party of the Second
part to the said party of the first part at and before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened
enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents
do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm
unto the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns all
that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate lying and being
on the west side of Court House in the town of Gainesville in
the County of Alachua in the State of Florida opposite to and
fronting the "Arlington Hotel" in said town of Gainesville and lying
and being in Lot No Four (4) in Block No Two (2) in range No Three (3)
according to the original maps or platts of said town of Gainesville
and is bounded and described as follows to wit Commencing at the
northeast corner of said Lot No four (4) in Block No two (2) in Range
no three (3) and running west one hundred and ninety seven (197)
feet thence South Sixty (60) feet thence east one hundred and forty seven
(147) feet to the south west corner of the lot or parcel of lands formerly
owned by John T. Mathews thence North twenty five (25) feet thence East
fifty (50) feet thence North thirty five (35) feet to the place of beginning
