Alachua County   }  Whereas I Calvin Waits of the Town
of Hawthorn in Alachua County, Florida am involved
in debt to a greater extent than my assetts will Warrant
me in attempting to pay and discharge in full and being
desirous of closing up my mercantile business to the
best advantage of my creditors as hereinafter Specified
Therefore Know all men by these presents that I the
said Calvin Waits in Consideration of the premises
and in Consideration of my indebtedness Condition do
hereby Constitute nominate and appoint Robert B.
Weeks of Hawthorn Florida to be the assignee of
the property hereinafter mentioned and I do hereby
sell assign transfer convey and set over unto him
the said Robert B. Weeks all the whole of my entire
stock of general merchandise situated located and
being in my store-house in the Town of Hawthorn
in Alachua County, State of Florida Consisting of a
general assortment of Dry-Goods Groceries Boots
and shoes Hats and Caps Clothing Hardware Cut-
lery, Glass-ware Crockery and Queens-Ware Fancy
Articles and notions, Wood and Willow Ware and all
of my Store furniture and fixtures and appurtenances
and all of my book accounts due by various parties
and all Choses in action connected with my said
mercantile business that may be due to me by other
parties. To Have and to hold all of said property
to him the said Robert B. Weeks and to his heirs
executors administrators and assigns for the following
purposes viz: The said personal property above men-
tioned and specified to be sold and disposed of by
the said Robert B. Weeks as quickly as possible
and as his best Judgment and discretion shall dic-
tate and at such prices and on such terms as he
may Deem best and proper in his best Judgment and
discretion and the proceeds thereof are to be paid out
as follows:
First. Out of the proceeds of the sales of said property
the Said Robert B. Weeks is to first pay to himself
in full a promissory-note with all interest therein accrued
according to its tenor and effect due by me to him
the said Robert B. Weeks for the Sum of Four hun-
dred and Twenty five ($42500) Dollars
Second Then out of the residue of the proceeds of
said property the said Robert B. Weeks is to pay in
full to Taylor and Sanchez my Attorney of Gainesville
