Erastus L. Pendarvis Heir at Law to J.H. Cathcart

Alachua County   }  Know all men by these presents
that we Mrs. H.M Pendarvis widow of Erastus L.
Pendarvis Junior deceased and James Pendarvis
son of said Erastus L. Pendarvis deceased and Mrs.
Annie Jeffords daughter of said Erastus L. Pendar
vis deceased and her husband Julius Jeffords as
sole heirs at Law of the said Erastus L. Pendar-
vis deceased all of Alachua County State of Flori
da for and in consideration of the sum of One
hundred and fifty Dollars to us cash in hand paid
by James H. Cathcart of Alachua County Florida the
receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have gran
ted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell alien and
convey unto him the said James H. Cathcart all
of those certain pieces parcels or tracts of land
situated lying and being in Alachua County in
the State of Florida particularly described as being
the South west quarter of the North East quarter
and the North west quarter of the South East
quarter and the whole of the North west quarter
of Section Seventeen (17) in Township Eight (8)
East containing Two Hundred and forty acres of
land more or less = Together with all and singular
the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the
same belonging or in anywise appertaining = To have
and to hold the same unto him the said James H.
Cathcart and to his heirs executors administrators and
assigns in fee simple absolutely forever. In witness
whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affix
ed hereto our seals on this 16th day of May A.D. 1883.

Alachua County   }  I W.H. Geiger a Justice of the
Peace in and for said State and County do hereby
certify that on this 16th day of May A.D. 1883, before
me in person appeared Mrs. Annie Jeffords wife of
Julius Jeffords to me personally Known who being
first duly questioned and examined by me separate
and apart from her said husband did say and
acknowledge before me upon such separate and
private examination that she did execute
