Know all men by these presents that I Adam L.
Markey a widower of the aforesaid County and State
for and in consideration of the Sum of Four Hundred
($40000) dollars to him in hand paid by Joanna Magee
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the
receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents
do grant bargain sell and convey unto her the said
Joanna Magee all that certain lot piece tract or
parcel of land situated lying and being in the County
of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly Known
and described as follows to wit that Lot of land situated
in Brushes Addition to the Town of Gainesville
and bounded as follows to wit: On the North by
Lot owned by Charley Perkins Lot on East by East
Main Street on South by Lot owned by Sarah H.
Austin on the west by residence of the grantor
herein Being East half of South half of North half
of Block (7) Seven Brushes Addition to said ton
of Gainesville Containing (88) Eighty Eight feet North
and South and (120) One Hundred and twenty feet
East and West = being the Amount of land now en
closed on said East part of said half of said lot
containing by estimation __ acres more or less
Together with all and singular the tenements heredit
aments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in
anywise appertaining To have and to hold the same
unto her the said Joanna Magee and to her heirs
executors administrators and assigns in fee simple ab
solute and I the said Adam L. Markey do hereby
covenant and agree to and with the said Joanna
Magee that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property
herein and hereby conveyed and that we have good and
lawful right to sell and convey the same that the same
is free from all encumbrances of any Kind whatsoever
and that I will and my heirs executors and administr
ators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same
unto her the said Joanna Magee and to her heirs execu
tors administrators and assigns against the lawful
claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever
now claiming or hereafter to claim the same In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my
Seal on this 15th day of May A.D. 1883.
