This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of
April in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and Eighty three by and between Thomas
A. Mitchell of Washington City in the District of
Columbia of the first part and Alexander R. Williams
of said City and District of the second part Witness
eth that the said parties of the first part for and
in consideration of the sum of Four hundred Dollars
($40000) in lawful money of the United States to him
in hand paid by the said party of the second part
at and before the sealing and delivery of these pre
sents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released
and conveyed and doth by these present grant bar
gain sell alien enfeoff release and convey unto the
