County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly
Known and described as follows to wit: Two Acres (2)
more or less Situated lying and being in the town of
Micanopy State and County aforesaid and described
as follows to wit bounded on the North by lands or
lots owned by E.D. Barnett and Wm M. Knox on the West
by lot owned by E.D. Barnett and Wm M. Knox on the
South by lots owned by P. McQuaid and A.H. Mathews
on the east by Main Street being a part of section
twenty six (26) in Township Eleven (11) Range twenty
(20) S & E containing by estimation two Acres of land
more or less Together with all and singular the tenem
ents hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belong
ing or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold
the same unto him the said John L. Howard and to
his heirs executors administrators and assigns in
fee simple absolute and we the said Wm M. Knox
and Mattie F. Knox do hereby covenant and agree
to and with the said John L. Howard that we are
lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and here
by conveyed and that we have good and lawful right
to sell and convey the same that the same is free
from all encumbrances of any Kind whatsoever and
that we will and our heirs executors and admin
istrators shall and will forever warrant and defend
the same unto him the said John L. Howard and
to his heirs executors administrators and assigns
against the lawful claims and demands of any
and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereaf
ter to claim the same In witness whereof we have
hereunto set our hand and affixed our seal
on this 17th day of January A.D. 1883.

ed Mrs. Mattie F. Knox wife of Wm M. Knox the
grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being
first duly questioned and examined by me separate
and apart from her said husband says and ack
nowledges before me that she did sign the said
deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing
relinquishing and renouncing all of her right of
Dower in and to the land in said deed describ
ed and that said relinquishment and renunciation
