Alachua County   }  Know all men by these presents
that we E.D. Barnett & W.M. Knox and our wives
Alvania A. Barnett & Mattie M. Knox parties of the first
part of the aforesaid County and State for and in
consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars
to them in hand paid by John L. Howard of the county
of in the State of __ the receipt whereof we do hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained sold and convey
ed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and
Convey unto him the said John L. Howard all of that
certain lot piece tract or parcel of land situated lying
and being in the county of Alachua on the State of Flori
da particularly Known and described as follows to wit
One Acre lot in the Town of Micanopy State and
County aforesaid and described as follows to wit bou
nded on the North by lot owned by E.D. Barnett
and Wm M. Knox and on the west by Main Street
running East & in front of Peter Ward land on the
South by lot owned by E.D. Barnett: On the East by
lot owned by Wm M. Knox being a part of Section
(26) Township (11) Ran (20) S & E containing by estimation
One Acre of land more or less Together with all and
singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining To have
and to hold the same unto him the said John L. Howard
and to his heirs executors administrators and assigns in
fee simple absolute And We the said E.D. Barnett and
Wm M. Knox and our wives A.A. Barnett & Mattie F. Knox
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said
John L. Howard that we lawfully seized in fee of the
property herein and hereby conveyed and that we have
good and lawful right to sell and convey the same
that the same is free from all incumbrances of any Kind
whatsoever and that we will and our heirs executors
and administrators and assigns against the lawful
claims and demands of any and all persons whom
soever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and
affixed our seal on this 17th day of Jany A.D. 1883.
