interest in lot Five (5) in Block Four and the build
ings and machinery thereon commonly Known as Mer
rits Gin and containing one fourth of an acre more or
less being the property bought by me from Daniel W.
Merritt on the Ninth day of May A.D. 1882 as will more
fully appears by deed from said Merritt recorded in the
Public Records of said county at pages 483 and 484
of Book "N" and being one undivided interest in said
Gin property To have and to hold the above described
land to the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns Together with the rights members and appur
tenances thereunto being belonging or in any manner
appertaining And the said parties of the first part for
themselves their heirs executors administrators and assigns
the title to the above bargained sold and conveyed
premises will forever warrant and defend against all
legal claims and demands In Testimony whereof we have

undersigned G. Frank Bullard and his wife Mary
M. Bullard well Known to me as the grantors of
record, and acknowledged that they executed the fore
going deed for the purpose of conveying the land
therein described to Daniel M. Stewart and the said
Mary M. Bullard upon an examination made by
me separate and apart from her husband acknow
ledges that she made herself a party to said con
veyance for the purpose of relinquishing all Dower
and right of dower in the lands therein mentioned
and that she did so freely and voluntarily and
without any fear constraint or compulsion from
her said husband.
