by and between John Varnum and Nancy E. Varnum
his wife of said county and state parties of the
first part and Martha A. Huff now of the county of
Jackson and State of Missouri party of the second
part that is to say: Whereas the said John Varnum
and Nancy E. Varnum his wife by their certain deed
dated the twenty fifth day of March A.D. 1879 and
recorded on the twenty seventh day of March A.D.
1879, in "Deed Book" "K" at pages 837 and 838 of the rec
ords of Alachua County did for and in consideration
of a sum of Money therein expressed grant bargain
sell and attempt to convey unto the said party of the
second part the following described tract of land situ
ate lying and being in the Eastern portion of the town
of Gainesville Alachua County State of Florida and
particularly described as follows Beginning at a stake
Thirty (30) feet South of the South west corner of a lot
or parcel of land owned by Thomas F. King: thence
running South Five hundred and ten (510) feet
to within thirty feet of land owned by James H. Roper for
merly conveyed by James B. Bailey to Tilman Ingraham
and by said Ingram to said James H. Roper thence
East Nine hundred and thirty five feet (935) to a stake
thence due north to within thirty (30) feet of land own
ed by said Thomas F. King thence West to the point of be
ginning the same being a part of section Four (4) town
ship Ten (10) South of Range twenty 20 East: And where
as by said deed the said parties of the first part by
mistake in the description of said land made the said
description recite as follows Beginning at a stake
Thirty (30) South of the "South East" corner of a
lot or parcel of land now owned by Thomas F. King etc
instead of South of the South West corner of the said
lot or parcel of land as was by them intended. Now there
fore for the purpose of correcting said mistake this
indenture witnesseth that we the said parties of the first
part in consideration of the premises and of the sum
of one (1) dollar in hand paid to us by the said Martha
A. Huff do grant bargain sell and convey unto the
said Martha A. Huff all that certain lot piece or parcel
of land hereinafter described and set forth as is herein
stated To have and to hold the same unto her the
said Martha A. Huff and to her heirs Executors Admin
istrators and assigns in fee simple absolute forever
In witness whereof the said parties of the first part
have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals
on the day and Year first above written
