State of Florida   to Thomas R. Waits
                "Deed" No 501.
Know all men by these presents that the Board of Educ
ation of Florida under an act of the Legislature of the
State of Florida entitled An act to Establish a Uniform
System of Common Schools and a University app
roved January 30 1869 for and in consideration of
the sum of One dollar & Twenty five cents per acre
to them in hand paid by Thomas R. Waits of the County
of Alachua State of Florida have granted bargained
and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said Thomas R. Waits and his heirs and
assigns forever the following described Lands to wit:
The North East quarter of the South East quarter
of Section Sixteen in Township Ten South of Range
Twenty Two East containing Thirty-nine 95/100 acres
and lying and being in the County of Alachua in said
State of Florida To have and to hold the said
lands unto the said Thomas R. Waits and his heirs
and assigns forever
          In testimony whereof the members of said board
          have hereunto subscribed their names and af
          fixed their seals and have caused the seal
          of The Florida State Land Office to be here
          unto affixed at the Capitol in the City of
          Tallahassee on this the Fourteenth day
          of October A.D. Eighteen hundred and
          Eighty One.
