and Mrs. R.M. Johnson of the second part all parties
mentioned being of the State of Florida and County
of Alachua witnesseth that the parties of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and
fifty ($15000) dollars to them in hand paid the receipt
of which is here by acknowledged have granted bargain
ed and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell & do hereby convey unto the party of the second
part the following described parcel of land to wit com
mencing at the north west corner of section thirty tow
nship Eleven (11) Range Twenty one (21) Running North
Eight 75/100 chains thence East twenty 20 chains thence
south Eight 75/100 Chains thence west to starting point
containing Seventeen 50/100 Acres more or less Also
the following land commencing at North West corner
of previous described section Running South to a
stake Known as the north west corner of land owned
by A.A. Bailey thence along line East of A.A. Baileys
land to East line of North west Quarter of said Sec
tion thence North to section line thence west to point of
beginning containing Eight acres more or less Together
with all the improvements or appurtenances thereto belong
ing. And the parties of the first part for their covenant
that they are the lawful owners of the above desc
ribed lands and that they will forever defend the
titles to the same against all persons lawfully claim
ing the same In witness whereof we have hereunto

Susan D. Barr wife of John J. Barr to me well Kno
wn who having been examined by me separate and
apart from her said husband did acknowledge that
she did sign & relinquish all her right of dower in
& to the premises conveyed by her & her said husband
to Mrs. R.M. Johnson by their deed dated August 1st
A.D. 1881 and she did it freely & voluntarily without any
any fear or compulsion of or from her said husband
