D.J. Roper and to his heirs executors administrators
and assigns in fee simple in fee simple absolute and that
the said J.M. Arnow do hereby covenant and agree to
and with the said D.J. Roper that he is lawfully seized
in fee of the property therein and hereby conveyed
and that I have good and lawful right to sell and con
vey the same and that he will and his heirs execu
tors and administrators shall and will forever warrant 
and defend the same unto the said D.J. Roper and
to his heirs executors administrators and assigns ag
ainst the lawful claims and demands of any and
all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter
to claim the same In witness whereof I have here
unto set my hand and affixed my seal on this first

Charleston County     }  Know all men by these
presents that I Geraldine C. Beattie (Widow) of the
aforesaid State and county for and in consid
eration of the sum of Nine hundred dollars
to me in cash in hand paid by albert D. Loomis
of the City of Chicago in the State of Illinois
at and before the delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained sold aliened and conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell alien and
convey unto him the said Albert D. Loomis all
of that certain piece parcel or tract of land
