Esther M. Powell wife of Benj W. Powell who being
first duly questioned and examined by me separate
And apart from her said husband says and acknow
ledges before me that she did Sign the said deed
of conveyance for the purpose of releasing relinquishing
and renouncing all of her right of dower in and
to the land in said deed described and that said
said relinquishment and renunciation of dower was done
and made by her freely and voluntarily and without
any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of

I Mrs. P.C. Cavellier a widow now of New York
City by my Attorney in fact William A. Toffiez
for and in consideration of the sum of Two thous
and Two hundred ($2200.00) dollars cash in hand
paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these 
presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto John
W. Hudson and Myron B. French as tenants and
owners in common and to their heirs and assigns
