estimation 26 2/7 Acres of land more or less Together with all
and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenan
ces to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining
To have and to hold the same unto him the said George
A. Chamberlain and to his heirs executors administrators
and assigns in fee simple absolute and we the said
John J. Barr & Susan D. Barr do hereby covenant and
agree to and with the said George S. Chamberlain that
we are lawfully seized in fee of the property herein
and hereby conveyed and that we have good and law
ful right to sell and convey the same that the same
is free from all encumbrances of any Kind whatsoever and
that we will and our heirs executors and administrators
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same
unto him the said George S. Chamberlain and to his
heirs executors administrators and assigns against the
lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whom
soever now claiming or hereinafter to claim the same
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and
affixed our seals on this 23rdrd day
of June A.D. 1883, before me personally appeared Mrs.
Susan D. Barr wife of John J. Barr the grantor in
the foregoing conveyance who being first duly ques
tioned and examined by me separate and apart from
her said husband says and acknowledges before me
that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for
the purpose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing
all of her right of dower in and to the land in said
deed described and that said relinquishment and ren
unciation of dower was done and made by her freely
and voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband
