that we Thomas L Dodd and Mary Ann Dodd his wife of the
City of Philadelphia in the State of Pennsylvania for and in
consideration of the sum of Thirteen hundred and fifty dollars to us
cash in hand by Burt C Drake of the town of Gainesville
in Alachua County Florida the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge
and from any further payment of which he is hereby fully acquitted and
discharged have granted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and by these 
presents do grant bargain sell alien and convey unto him the said
Burt C Drake all of that certain Block or parcel of land Situated,
lying and being in the Town of Gainesville in Alachua County in
the State of Florida which is particularly known designated and
described upon the maps and platts of the original Town of
Gainesville aforesaid being Block No One (1) of Range No Seven
(7) the same being Two hundred (200) feet square more or less. Together
with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining . To have and
to hold the same unto him the said Burt C Drake and, to his
heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple absolutely
forever. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed
hereunto our seals on this First day of October AD 1885
