persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument appeared
before me person and the said W.M. Knox acknowledged that he executed
said instrument and the said Mattie F. Knox on a private examination
made separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged that she
freely and voluntarily executed said instrument for the purpose of relinquishing
and renouncing all rights of Dower separate Estate Homestead and all rights
whatsoever in the premises described without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband and they each acknowled-
ged that they signed sealed and delivered said instrument for the uses

David H. Caru and Ida D. Caru his Wife of said State and County
parties of the first part and John J. Barr of the County of Alachua and
State aforesaid party of the second part Witnesseth: That for and in
consideration of the sum of one thousand Dollars by the party of the
second part to the parties of the first part in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged that said parties of the first part have
remised released and quit claimed and by these presents do remise
release and quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to
his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate
