to wit, Beginning at the NE Corner of the town of Gainesville and running
East two hundred & twenty yards, Thence South one hundred yards,
Thence West to the said eastern boundary of the town of Gainesville, Thence
North along said boundary to the place of beginning, Containing five
(5) acres more or less, To have and and to hold with all the appurten
ances thereunto belonging to the said Ths W. McCaa his heirs Executors
administrators or assigns forever. And we do further covenant with
the said McCaa that we are lawfully seized of the above described lot
of land that we have good right to sell the same - and that it is free
from all incumbrances, To all which we do hereby firmly bind ourselves
our heirs Executors administrators or assigns forever, and we will
Warrant and defend the said McCaa in the piecable possession
of the same against the legal claim or all persons whomsoever

This Deed of Bargain and Sale made and executed the 26th
day of January AD 1888, by and between Henry L. Votarr and
Anna J. Votarr (Husband and wife) of the County of Marshall and
State of Iowa parties of the first part and Jonathan Votarr of
Marshall County and State of Iowa of the second part
Witnesseth That the said parties of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Dollars to them
paid by the said party of the Second part the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted and sold and do by
these presents grant bargain sell convey and Confirm unto
the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns
