of the above written indenture and saw the Common seal of the said
Convalescents Retreat duly affixed thereto, that the seal so affixed is the
Common and Corperate seal of the said Convalescents Retreat and that the
above written indenture was duly sealed and delivered as by and for the
act and deed of the said Corperation of the Convalescents Retreat for the uses
and purposes therein mentioned, And that the name of this deponent
subscribed to the said deed as president of the said Corperation in Attestation
of the due execution and delivery of said deed is of this deponents proper

This Indenture made the twenty fifth day of April Anno Domini
Eighteen hundred and Eighty Eight (1888) Between Francis Lee Merchant
(unmarried) of the City of Philadelphia County of Philadelphia and State
of Pennsylvania party of the first part and Samuel Durborow of the
City of Philadelphia County of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania
party of the Second part, Witnesseth That the said party of the first
part for and in Consideration of the sum of Seventy Eight Dollars lawful
money of the United States of America to him in hand paid by the said party
of the second the part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath gran
ted bargained sold aliened remised released conveyed and Confirmed and
by these presents does grant bargain sell alien remise release and Convey
