Denison Mason } (4-404) Homestead Certificate No 2231 Application 2454
The United States of America. To all to whom these presents shall come 
Greeting, Whereas there has been deposited in the General Land Office of the 
United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Gainesville 
Florida whereby it appears that pursuant to the Act of Congress approved 
20th May 1862 "To Secure Homesteads to actual Settlers on the Public 
Domain," and the acts supplemental thereto the Claim of Denison
Mason has been established and duly Consumated in Conformity to 
law for the East half of the South East quarter the North East quarter
of the South East quarter and the South West quarter of the North East
quarter of Section Seven in Township Ten South of Range Fifteen 
East of Tallahassee Meridian in Florida containing one hundred
and fifty Six acres and forty four hundredths of an acre accor
ding to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said land returned to 
the General Land office by the Surveyor General. Now Know ye
That there is therefore granted by the United States unto the said Denison
Mason the tract of land above described. To have and to Hold the 
said tract of land with the appurtenances thereof unto the said Den
ison Mason and to his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony 
Whereof I Chester A. Arthur President of the United States have Caused 
these letters to be made Patent and the seal of the General Land office 
to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand at the City of Washington
the Twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand 
Eight hundred and Eighty three and of the Independence of the United 
States the one hundred and Seventh

This Indenture made and entered into this First day of July
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighty
two between Denison Mason and Katharine Mason his wife
of the State of Florida and County of Bradford of the first
part and H.G. Mason of Alachua County and State of Florida
of the second part. Witnesseth that the aforesaid parties of the
first part in and for the Consideration of the Sum of Five
Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt thereof being
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant bargain sell release convey and confirm
