for and in Consideration of the sum of One dollar to us in hand
paid by our Mother Mrs Sarah A. Patterson widow and relict of our Father
the late Thomas Patterson deceased and for the purpose of effecting a 
mutual partition of the real Estate our deceased father Thomas Patterson 
among the heirs at law without having recourse to the Courts and
to avoid any further expense in the premises, said real Estate 
being in the City of Gainesville Alachua County State of Florida a plat 
of which made by P.F. Jenkins a Civil Engineer of the said City of Gaines-
ville being of record on page Twenty one of Book of Plats "A" among
the records of deeds in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of 
Said Alachua County Florida, Have granted bargained sold Conveyed re
mised released and quit claimed and by these presents do grant bar
gain Sell Convey remise release and quit claim unto the said Mrs
Sarah A. Patterson as the widow of the said Thomas Patterson all of 
our right title interest Claim and demand as well at law as in 
Equity as heirs at law of our Father the late Thomas Patterson in 
and to the following described property to wit, All of that Certain lot
piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of 
Alachua and State of Florida, Commencing at the North East
Corner of lot one of the Patterson Estate as shown by Jenkins Plat of
Same and running South on a straight line Two hundred 
feet to a stake Thence West in a straight line One hundred and
five feet to the line dividing lots one and two of said Estate, Thence
North along said dividing Two hundred feet, Thence East on a
straight line One Hundred and five feet to the place of beginning 
together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments 
and Appurtenances thereto belonging, To have and to hold the 
Same unto the said Mrs Sarah A. Patterson and to her
heirs Executors administrators and assigns in fee simple abso
lute forever She having by her deed Conveyed to us all of her
rights in law and at equity as well Also all Claims and de
mands of whatsoever nature or Kind she might or could have
in and to the rest and residue of the real Estate of the late 
Thomas Patterson as the same is shown on Jenkins Plat of
the same. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our 
hands and seals this the 1st day of March AD 1888
