Trustees of Presbyterian Church of Gainesville }

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that we Ida E. Burnett
the owner in her own separate right and Samuel J. Burnett her husband
both of Gainesville Florida for and in consideration of the sum of Three
Thousand Five Hundred dollars to me the said Ida E. Burnett well se
cured upon other property to be paid have granted bargained sold
aliened and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien
and convey unto Edwin P. Cater Henry E. Day Charles A. Sheldon and
James D. Matheson as Trustees of and for the "First Presbyterian Church 
of Gainesville" in Alachua County Florida a body duly incorporated un
der the laws of the State of Florida, all of that Certain Lot tract piece or
parcel of land situated lying and being in the town of Gainesville in
Alachua County Florida particularly described upon and according to
the Maps of the original Town of Gainesville as being the West half of
Block No One (1) in Range No Four (4), Together with all and singu
lar the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging
or in anywise appertaining, To have and to hold the same unto
them the said Edwin P. Cater Henry E. Day Charles A. Sheldon and
James D. Matheson and to their heirs and successors in the trust
and assigns to and for the use and benefit of the said First Pres-
byterian Church of Gainesville Florida in fee simple absolutely forever
And we the said Ida E. Burnett and Samuel J. Burnett her husband
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Trustees and their
Successors in Office that the said Ida E. Burnett is lawfully seized
in fee of the said property hereby conveyed and that they have good
and lawful right to sell and to convey the same, that the same is
free and clear of and from any and all encumbrances of any Kind
whatsoever, and that we will and our heirs executors and admin
istrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same in
to them the said Trustees and to their successors in office and
assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of any and
all persons whomsoever now claiming or who may claim the same
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed
hereto our seals on this First day of June AD 1887

the State of Florida at Large do hereby Certify that on this
22nd day of July AD 1887 before me in person appeared
Mrs Ida E. Burnett and Samuel J. Burnett her husband Each
of whom did duly and severally say and acknowledge before
me that they and each of them did execute sign seal and
deliver the foregoing Deed of Conveyance for the uses and
