ville Florida, Containing thirty nine acres and ninety seven
hundredths of an acre, according to the official plat of the Survey 
of the said lands returned to the General Land office by the Sur
veyor General which said tract has been purchased by the said William 
C. Hagler, Now Know ye that the United States of America in Con
sideration of the premises and in conformity with the several Acts of 
Congress in such case made and provided, Have given and Granted 
and by these presents Do Give and Grant unto the said William C. 
Hagler and to his heirs the said Tract above described, To have and 
to hold the same together with all the rights privileges immunities 
and appurtenances of whatsoever nature thereunto belonging unto 
the said William C. Hagler, and to his heirs and assigns forever.
In testimony whereof I James Buchanan President of the United 
States of America have cause these letters to be made Patent and the 
seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed. Given under 
  (United States) my hand at the City of Washington the first day of Augst 
 (      Seal     )in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and 
  (General Land ) Sixty and in the Independence of the United States the Eighty fifth

Know all men by these presents That the State of Florida for and in Con
sideration of the sum of One dollar & twenty five cents per acre paid by William
C. Hagler of the County of Alachua State of Florida hath granted bargain
ed and sold and doth by these presents Grant Bargain sell and Convey
unto the said William C. Hagler and his heirs and assigns forever the
following described Land to wit. The South East Quarter of the North West
Quarter of Section Sixteen in Township Eight South of Range Seventeen
East Containing Thirty nine 59/100 acres and lying and being within County
of Alachua in said State of Florida. To have and to hold unto the
said William C. Hagler and his heirs and assigns forever in fee
simple. In Testimony Whereof I Hugh A. Corley Register
of Public Lands for the State of Florida have hereto subscribed
my name and caused an impression of the seal of my office
to be made hereupon at the Capitol in the City of Tallahassee
on this the 20th day of March AD 1861 and of the Independence
of the United States of America the 17th year
