This Indenture made the Eighteenth day of November in the year of our Lord
One thousand Eight hundred and fifty seven, Between James W Piles of
Marion County and State of Florida of the first part and George Helvenston
of Alachua County and State of Florida of the second part. Witnesseth
that that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the
Sum of Six hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to him in
hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents by the
said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has
granted bargained Sold aliened released and conveyed and by these presents
doth grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm unto the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain portion or
tract of land situate lying and being in the County of Alachua and more
particularily known and described according to the surveys of the United States
returned to the Public Land office at Newnansville Florida as the South
West Quarter and Lot No Two (2) of Section Number Three and Lot Number
one and two of section Number ten and Lot number one and the North half
of North West Quarter of Section Number fifteen of Township number NIne
of Range Number Eighteen South & East, Containing Four hundred and Twenty
Three 05/100 acres more or less. Together with all and singular the hereditaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appurtaining
and to the reversion & reversions remainder and remainders unto issues
and profits thereof and also all the Estate rights title and interest claim
and demand whatsoever both in law and equity of them the said party
of the first part. To have and to hold the afore granted premises
to him the said George Helvenston his heirs and assigns to his & their
use and behoof forever, and I the said James W Piles do covenant
and agree with the said George Helvenston that the title to the above
tract of land herein conveyed or intended so to be will ever warrant
and defend. In witness whereof the said party of the first part has
hereunto set his hand and seal the Day and Year first above written

State of Florida  } Be it known that I Frances H Piles Piles wife of
County of Marion  } the said James W Piles party to the foregoing deed
do hereby on consideration of the sum of one dollar paid to me
by the said George Helvenston grantor of the foregoing lands re
nounce relinquish and release to the said George Helvenston his
heirs executors administrators and assigns all my rights of dower
and was in and to the land and premises above described which
I now have or which I might hereafter have or become entitled
to and also all my rights title and interest therein and thereto
