State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I James H Johnson
Marion County    } Justice of the Peace in and or said County this day proceeded
to take the private examination of Frances H Piles wife of the said James W
Piles separate and apart from her said husband James W Piles touching
her voluntary assent to the foregoing deed of conveyance and of her relin
quishment of dower and thin*s and interest therein. Whereupon she the said
Francis H Piles declares that she executed the foregoing relinquishment and
release of dower and interest freely and ofher own accord without any
compulsion constraint apprehension or fear from her said husband 
James W Piles or of or from any other person. In witness whereof
have this day set my hand and private seal the 18th day of November AD 1857

Marion County     } Before me personally appeared Robert Bullock
Esquire to me well and personally known who being first duly sworn
says that he has been a resident and citizen of Ocala in Marion County
Florida for upwards of thirty two (32) years last past. That he has care
fully examined the Deed hereto annexed bearing date the Eighteenth day of
November AD One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty seven (AD 1857) made
by James W Piles to George Helvenston and which is witnessed by S O
Howse and John Scott as subscribing witnesses thereto- That he was
well and personally acquainted with the said James W Piles the grantor in
said deed during his life time and has often seen him write and
yet he verily believes the signature of the said James W Piles to said
annexed Deed to be his own bona fide and genuine signature signed 
with his own hand. That he was still better and more intimately
acquainted with S O Howse and John Scott whose names are
subscribed to said annexed Deed as Witnesses thereto. That he Knew
both of said last named persons well and intimately during their
life time, both of them having resided at Ocala Florida at the
time that said Deed bears date and for many years thereafter that the
said S O Howse and JOhn Scott are both are both of them now also dead
but that during theirlife time this affiant has often seen them
write and sign their names and has often received written commu
nications from both of them the said S O Howse and John Scott
and that he is well and thoroughly acquainted with both of their
signatures and handd writing and that he knows and says without
any hesitation that the signatures of the said S O Howse and John
Scott subscribed as Witnesses to the said annexed Deed is their
own bona fide and genuine signatures subscribed thereto with their own
Hands, and that he believes the said annexed deed from all the
signatures appended thereto and from the general appearance thereof to be genuine
