County Commissioners Court}   Gainesville April 11 1860
      Alachua County	  }   At a meeting of the board 
			    of County Commissioners met 
pursuant to adjournment Present Mathew Hinson 
C. Rain Wm Strickland Jas M. Sparkman 
and E.H. Jordan President of the board
1   Ordered that the bid of John Shuttleworth 
for painting the fence inclosing the Court House 
Yard and premises with three Coats of paint 
with the Collers named in his bid of the 
11th Inst be received said painting to be done 
in a workmanlike manner but not paid for 
until rec'd by the board and not rec'd by the 
board unless done according to the contract
2    Ordered that when said paintings is completed 
E.H. Jordan is appointed to receive said Job 
and Order the bill to be paid &c
3    Ordered that              Grissom be allowed Two 
dollars each for four benches for Jury 
rooms said benches to be fourteen feet long
4    Ordered that Fence inclosing the Court House 
be painted all white except the post from top 
of railing and that be green
