Sheriff that said Articles were purchased for the use of 
the Court at a fair valuation, Said Account is hereby 
allowed and ordered to be paid by the Treasurer 
      Ordered, that the Judge of Probates have a proper 
desk made for the safe keeping of the papers belonging 
an appertaining to his Office with a cost not exceeding 
$20. 
         Ordered, that this Court do now adjourn 
till the fifteenth December next ensuing ----

     Commissioners Court Special Term 
held at Newnansville December 15th 1847 
         Commissioners met pursuant to adjournment 
Present H.C. Wilson President of the Board and 
Samuel B. Colding, Hezikiah Osteen, Peter Sparkman 
and Asa Clark Commissioners,  All of the members 
being present the Board proceeded to business. 

 In the matter of the Contract for the    }
bridge across the Santafee at Fort Harlee }
                      Three Sealed proposals having 
been received by the President of the Board, were 
duly laid before the Board and upon examination 
of the Several bids, the Contract was given to Asa 
Clark who was the lowest bidder and whose bid 
was worded as follows 
    To the Houn' Judge of Probates and Commissioners 
of the County of Alachua --- 
    The undersigned does hereby agree to build the 
bridge Across the Santafee River at Fort Harlee 
agreeable to the form or plan of Said bridge, exhibited at 
the Store of George L. Brown for the sum of two 
hundred and fifty dollars 
              December 15th 1847
