The Sheriff William Gibbons being present and the Tax
list being returned into Court by said Sheriff, the following
names after the examination of said list by said Board was
selected to discharge the duties of Grand and Petit Jurors,
To Wit, the names hereafter mentioned were returned to
Robert Youngblood Clerk of the Circuit Court of Alachua
and Levy Counties.
In the matter of Thomas C. Ellis Sheriff and exofficio
Tax Collector for the County of Alachua.
Thomas C. Ellis Tax Collector having
presented his accounts and Vouchers for Settlement said

At a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners
of 3d of April 1848, Thomas C. Ellis presented his account as
Tax Collector of the County for the year 1847. And the same having
been Carefully examined were found Correct. It is therefore
considered by the Board that the above items should be allowed
him by the Comptroller in his Settlement with the Treasurer --
