Commissioners Court Monday April 6th 1846
At a term of the Court of Commissioners
for the County of Alachua at Newnansville April 6th 1846.
Present Charles L. Dell Esq’r Ex’o a member and
president of the Board.
There being no quorum present the Court
was adjourned by the pres’t until Monday next the
13th Ins’t

The Commissioners Court met pursuant to
adjournment, present Charles L. Dell Esq’r President of the
Board, J.W. Pearson and Samuel Geiger Commissioners.
In the matter of Forward and Aldrich
Attorneys for sundry persons petition for a release of taxes
it was agreed that they be allowed to return to return
and pay taxes for their land according to the quality of
the same.
In the matter of Charles Robion Executor of F.M.
Arredondo, petition for release of taxes, it was agreed and
ordered that he be allowed to return and pay taxes for his
land according to the quality of the same.
In the matter of S.S. Walmsley Tax Assessor and Collector
under the old Terratorial Law.
Presentation of his accounts by R.G. Livingston for
allowance after an examination of said account it was disallowed,
and filed amongst the papers of the Court.
The Court took into consideration the necessity of
providing a house for the holding of the next term of Circuit
Court and ordered that Charles L. Dell do provide a house
for the same at the expense of the County.
There being no further business before the Court it
then proceeded to set off and number the election precincts
of said County as follows
