and selected by said Judge of Probates to assist him in Canvassing and Counting the votes given for each Office as shown by the returns filed in the Office of said Judge at an Election held at the several precincts in said County on Monday the 7th day of May A.D. 1849. After having Carefully Canvassed and Counted the votes hereby Certify that the following is a true return of the votes given at said Election Viz. The whole number of votes given for the Office of Register of Public Lands is Ninety Seven (97) votes, and of these votes John Beard received Ninety Seven (97) votes. --- And the whole number of votes given for the Office of Justice of the Peace for the first Justices District of said County is fourteen votes and of these votes John K. Fitchet received fourteen votes and Robert Youngblood received fourteen (14) votes -- And the whole number of votes given in for the Office of Justice of the Peace for the sixth Justices District of said County is six votes, and of these votes Daniel Lynn received six votes, and Andrew Robb received five votes --- 16th May 1849 --- Witness our hands Allen Vanculk } J.J.
