by the Board of County commissioners unanimously that a Court House be built on the public square in the Town of Newnansville and the said Court House is to be built on the same plan of the one built in Columbia County with a few exceptions, And that notices for the building of said Court House shall be given publicly and the proposals shall be closed in twenty days from the date of the publication and the bid is to be given to the lowest bidder --- Order 2nd.. It is further ordered by the said Board of Commissioners that Samuel W. Burnett is hereby authorized to rent a room for the Office of the Circuit Court of Alachua County at as reasonable a rate as possible, Not to exceed four dollars per month untill this order is rescinded by the Commissioners or untill he is furnished one by the County. Order 3rd.. It is further ordered that the assessor and Collector of the State taxes, assess and Collect at the same time fifty per cent on the State taxes for County purposes of Alachua County --- Order 4th Charles F. Fitchet presented an account against the County for services rendered for fifty two and 52/100 dollars, it is therefore ordered that the County Treasurer pay said account out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated --- Order 5th Charles L. Wilson Sheriff of Alachua County presented his accounts for expenses of the Circuit Court and for repairs of Jail it is hereby ordered that the County Treasurer pay said account --- Order 6th It is hereby ordered by the Board of Commissioners that the County Surveyor have five dollars per day for surveying and the persons employing said Surveyor, shall pay all the expenses of the Chain Carriers and Choppers --- Order 7th It is hereby ordered by said commissioners that there shall be road Commissioners to finish cutting out the Road from Fort Crane to Orange Springs and the said Commissioners on the said road shall be William H. Carpenter, David Mizele and James Tompkins be and are hereby appointed accordingly --- Order 8th It is further ordered that the County Treasurer pay to C.F. Fitchet President of this Board, George L. Brown, Samuel Colding, John B. Standly and David Mizele Esq's two dollars each per day for their services in attending on the Board of Commissioners for this day ---
