to the County for the same. Said Lots lying in the Town of New
nansville represented by a plan of the Town now on file in the

County of Alachua } S.S. We the Subscribers and Judge
of Probate for the aforesaid County and inhabitants of said
County having the qualification of voters therein and selected by
said Judge of Probate to assist him in Canvassing and Counting
the votes given for such offices and for the several persons for
such offices as shown by the returns filed in the office of said
Judge of Probate at an Election held at the several precincts in
said County on Monday the fourth day of October A.D. 1852
After having carefully Canvassed and counted the
votes hereby certify that the following is a true return of the
votes given at said election Viz.
The whole number for the Office of Representatives to
Congress is three hundred and Seventy (370) and of these votes
A.E. Maxwell received two hundred and twenty eight (228)
and E.C. Cabell received One hundred and forty two (142)
and the whole number for the Office of Senator from the (15th)
Senatorial District is three hundred and forty nine (349)
of these votes David Province received two hundred and twenty
(220) And John Scott received One hundred and twenty nine
(129)
The whole number for Assemblyman id three hundred
and thirty six (336) of these votes Philip Dell received two
hundred and twenty seven (227) and William Edwards received
One hundred and nine (109) Witness our hands and seals
