item 7 Ordered that P.H. Young's bill of fourty two
dollars and 50/100 - be paid, also the costs on
the case thus far, amounting to six dollars and
ninety five Cents be paid -- -- --- ----
item 8 Ordered that fourty dollars of the fine paid
by S.C. Vanlandingham be re-funded to
said Vanlandingham - item 9- it is hereby
ordered that C.A. Ramsey have the Contract
for building the new County jail, his bid
for doing the same being the lowest received
viz Thirteen hundred and Ninety four dollars
$1394 -- 10. It is hereby ordered that James
B. Bailey and Andrew Robb, be and they
are hereby appointed Commissioners to supe
rintend the building of said Jail -- ---
item 11 Ordered that Cornelius Rain and
Andrew Robb be appointed to lay off the County into
magistrate districts and report at the next
meeting of this Board - item 12, Ordered
that the Judge of probate be authorized to
Receive a satisfactory Bond from C.A. Ramsey
Conditioned on the full and faithful perf
ormance of his Jail Contract, and that
the said Judge of Probate be authorized
to give to C.A. Ramsey an obligation on
the part of the County Commissioners for
the for the payment of the money agreed on
it is understood that if the County Commissioners
pay Contractor any money before the first day
of Dec'r 1857 he is to pay, or allow said County Commissioners
Legal interest on the same, item 13. Ordered
that C. Rain J.M. Sparkman & Andrew Robb
be paid two Dollars each for this days attendance
no more bussiness being before the board it is adjourned
to meet on the first Monday in the month of July
