the following are the magistrates districts of the
County of Alachua as laid off by Cornelius Rain
and Andrew Robb, by order of the Co. Commission
done in the Court house in the Town of Gainesville
July 6 1857 - - District N.1 - to commence at
Fort Crum on the west and run due east to Fort
Crane to include the present residence and
(taking in the west side of McRaes road)
plantation of Governor M.S. Perry then North
to where the New River Road from Fort Harlee
crosses the mouth of Samson River Pond
thence west down the Sampson River Creek to
the St. affee River, thence down the St. affee River to
the mouth of Rocky Creek thence in a direct line
to Fort Clark including all of the Fort Clark settlements
thence south to the place of beginning - -- ---
District N.2 to begin at Fort Crane and run
along the East side of the Palatka Road to where
the Palatka and pierson springs roads fork down
the road to Pierson's springs to the Putnam
County line thence along said Putnam County
line to the Bellamy Road thence west to
where the mickanopy road crosses the
Bellamy road thence on the east side of
said road to the place of beginning - ---
District N.3 - To begin on the Bellamy
Road on the Putnam & Duval County line, thence
North to the Columbia County line, thence
west to the Columbia and Alachua County line
