of one dollar, lawful money of the United States to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof 
is hereby acknowledged, by the party of the first part to the within Deed, do by these presents 
renounce, relinquish and forever release, all my right, title and interest of Dower in & 
to the premises mentioned in the foregoing Deed.

on this 19th day of May AD 1829 personally appeared Maria l. Fatio wife of Francis 
I. Fatio, within mentioned, who being privately examined by me separate and apart from 
her said Husband, did acknowledge and declare that the above relinquishment and 
renunciation of Dower by her, was made freely and voluntarily, and without any com

pulsion, constraint, apprehension, or fear from her said Husband.

I. Fatio known to me to be the person, mentioned in the within Conveyance came 
before me the subscriber Clerk of the County Court of the County & Territory afore
said, and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed for the purposes therein 
specified, whereupon I have recorded the same with the relinquishment of Dower 
and Certificate thereunto annexed in Book H page 248

This Indenture made this thirtieth day of May in the year of Our Lord eighteen 
hundred & twenty nine, Between George Downs of the County of Alachua in East 
Florida of the first part and Colonel Gad Humphreys, and Daniel C.H. Sims of 
the said County and Territory of the second part   Witnesseth, That the said 
party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred 
and forty Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand 
paid, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said party of
