Turbutt R. Betton, a Justice of the Peace
in the County aforesaid, in the Territory of Florida do hereby Certify
that M. Fermina Garey, wife of John Y. Garey, Party to the within
Deed of Conveyance of Real Estate bearing date on the fourteenth
day of November One thousand eight hundred & twenty nine personally
appeared before me, in my County aforesaid, and being examined by me
privily, and apart from her husband, and the Deed aforesaid fully
explained to her, the said Fermina Garey, acknowledged the same
to be her act and Deed, and declared that she had willingly signed
sealed and delivered the same, and that she wished not to retract it -
Given under my hand and seal the fourteenth day of November
One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.

County of Alachua } This Indenture made this twentieth
day of July in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty five, between
George I. F. Clark of the one part, and John Y Garey of the other part both
of the Territory aforesaid, Witnesseth, That the said Clark for and in consi
deration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars, to him in hand, at or before
the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby ackn
owledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these
presents, do grant, bargain, sell and Convey unto the said John Y. Garey
One thousand Acres of Land, lying and being in the part of said Territory
called Alachua, and situated in the Hammock, named Chachala on the
Westward of Paynes Savannah, being a part of Two thousand acre grant made |
