This Indenture made and entered into the Eleventh day of June One thousand 
eight hundred and twenty nine, Between George I. F. Clarke of the City of 
St. Augustine of the One part, and Waters Smith of the same place of the second 
part, Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and 
ninety five Dollars to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged I 
have granted, bargained, Sold and by these presents, do grant bargain and sell 
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, All that tract 
or parcel of land at Cooleys Creek Alachua, Situated on the Road called Rays Trail 
between the 12th & 15th mile, being the South Westermost third of a Three thousand acre tract 
purchased by me from Domingo Fernandez, as by Deed bearing date 9th March 1824 
and recorded.- Containing One thousand acres which is part of a Survey of Six 
thousand acres made to the said Fernandez, under an Absolute Grant for services 
rendered to the Spanish Government by the said Fernandez for sixteen thousand 
acres of Land, which said Grant was made and executed, on the Sixteenth day of 
November 1817 by Governor Coppinger of East Florida, and is now filed before the 
Superior Court of East Florida for Confirmation, Together with all and singular 
the rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging, and all the Estate right & Title 
of the said party of the first part, of in, and to the said hereby granted premises 
and every part thereof.  To have and to hold to the said party of the second 
part his heirs and assigns, to his and their sole and only proper use & behoof 
forever, And the said party of the first part, all and singular the above grated 
Lands, tenements and hereditaments and every part and parcel thereof unto 
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, Against him the party of
the first part, his heirs and assigns, and against all caiming under him his 
heirs and assigns, and against all others whatsoever shall and will by these 
presents forever Warrant and defend.-- In Witness whereof the party of the 
first part, have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & date 
first within mentioned

			On the Thirtieth day of January in the year of Our Lord 
One thousand eight hundred and thirty, personally came before me Joseph L. 
Smith, Judge of the Superior Court for the district of East Florida George I. F. Clarke 
the Grantor to the foregoing Deed of Conveyance, & acknowledged that he 
executed and delivered, the same for the uses & purposes therein expressed.
