St. Johns County      }	Know all men by these presents that I George I.
F. Clarke of Territory and County aforesaid, in consideration of the sum of three 
thousand Dollars to me paid by paid by Duncan L. Clinch Colonel of the United States 
Army, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have remitted, released and 

forever quit claimed, and by these presents do remit release and forever quit 
claim, unto the said Duncan L. Clinch his heirs and assigns, All the right & 
title which I the said George I.F. Clarke, have or ought to have to the following 
Lands, Situated in the Eastern section of this Territory viz, A tract of One 
thousand acres, laying at Spring Grove, alias Silver Spring, on the south west 
side of Lake George, being a part of a four thousand acre tract made to me, the 
said Clarke, by the late Spanish Government, of this Country, another tract of One 
thousand acres, being a part of a four thousand acre grant made to Charles w. 
Clarke, by the said Spanish Government, and sold by him to me the said George I.F.
Clarke, and which is situated on the westward of the big Savannah of Alachua 
in Chachala Hammoc, another tract of One thousand acres, situated at a place called 
Cedar, alias, Baggs Hammoc, to the south of Orange, alias, Thinells, Lake, 
being a part of a two thousand acre grant made to me the said Clarke by the 
said Spanish Government, and another tract of five hundred acres, being the 
westermost moiety of a thousand acre grant made to me by the Spanish Govern
ment and located in the Picolata Swamp on the westward of the St. Johns River
	To Have and to hold, the aforesaid four tracts or parcels of Land making 
three thousand five hundred acres, which will now more particularly appear by these 
several services and certificates, executed and the said Spanish Government 
translated copies of which are hereunto annexed, unto the said Duncan 
L. Clinch, with all and singular, the privileges and appurtenances belonging 
or appertaining thereto, and to his heirs and assigns, to his and their proper 
use and behoof, so that neither I the said Clarke nor my heirs nor any 
person or persons claiming under me or them, shall at any time hereafter 
by any way or means, have claim or demand, any right or title to the aforesaid 
premises or appurtenances to any part or parcel thereof - In Witness whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand & seal this thirteenth day of March in the year 
of Our Lord eighteen hundred & thirty
