To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting, Know ye that I 
Thomas Murphy of St. Augustine in the Territory of Florida for and 
in consideration of the sum of nine hundred Dollars 
lawful money of the united States to me in hand 
paid by Thomas Napier of Charleston in the 
State of South Carolina at or before the ensealing 
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof 
is hereby acknowledged, have remised released and 
for ever quit claimed, and by these presents do remise 
release and for ever quit claim unto the said 
Thomas Napier in fee simple full possession 
and seizin and to his heirs and assigns for ever 
all the estate right title interest use trust property 
claim and demand whatsoever both at Law and in 
Equity of me the said Thomas Murphy of in to or 
out of all and singular one thousand six hund
red and sixty four acres of land situated lying 
and being in a certain tract of County Known by 
the name of Alachua in the County of Alachua
in the Territory of Florida bounding and meas
uring according to a survey and plat made by 
Joshua A. Coffee Surveyor date the 18th day of 
October 1824 as follows the first line begins at 
a dry Live oak tree marked XIIII and runs 
north 208 Chains to a water oak with the same 
mark thence runs west 80 Chains to a Live oak 
tree with the same mark thence runs south 
208 Chains to a water oak tree with the same 
mark thence runs East 80 Chains to the place of 
beginning being part of and included in a large 
tract of Lands granted to Fernando M. 
Arredondo and son on the 22nd day of December
