wise concern, that I Susan	Murphy, wife of Thomas Murphy of St. Augustine 
Florida, for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars, within 
Expressed, do hereby acknowledge, That I freely and voluntarily relin
quish and renounce all my Dower in, and to a certain tract of land situate 
lying and being in the Alachua, containing One thousand six hundred 
and sixty four acres, and conveyed by the said Thomas Murphy by deed 
bearing date the 12th day of May 1830 to Thomas Napier of Charleston South 
Carolina -

County of St. Johns  }	day of May 1830, Came before Elias B. Gould a 
Justice of the Peace for the County of St. Johns aforesaid, the above and 
within named Susan Murphy, wife of Thomas Murphy, well known to 
me as the same person described, and who executed the annexed instru
ment of Writing, and acknowledged, that she signed, sealed & delivered the 
same for the uses and purposes, therein expressed, and that the said Susan 
Murphy, being by me privately examined apart from her said husband 
did acknowledge that she freely and voluntarily relinquished and 
renounced, all her Dower and right of Dower, in and to the premises 
within described, without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension or
