This Indenture made the fourth day of August in the year of Our Lord 
One thousand eight hundred and thirty, Between George I.F. Clarke of the City 
of St. Augustine, Territory of Florida of the first part, and Waters Smith of the 
same place of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first 
part for and in consideration of the sum of One thousand five hundred Dollars 
money of the United States, to him in hand paid, by the party of the second part 
at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged, and himself herewith fully satisfied, contented and paid 
hath granted, bargained, sold, remised, released, aliened and confirmed, and 
by these presents, doth grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, alien, & Confirm unto 
the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever 
All that certain tract of land containing One thousand acres, bounded on the 
west, by a tract of land of One thousand acres of Waters Smith purchased by him 
from G.I.F. Clarke, by Deed bearing date the eleventh day of June AD One 
thousand eight hundred and twenty nine, on the east by a tract of One thousand acres 
of land Of G.I.F. Clarke; on the North by a tract of three thousand acres of land 
of Domingo Fernandez, and on the South by lands of the Unites States at Coolys 
Creek Falaska Hammoch, county of Alachua, east of the Road called Rays trail 
between the twelvth and fifteenth mile trees; being the centre third of a three 
thousand acre tract, purchased by the party of the first part from Domingo 
Fernandez, as by Deed bearing date the ninth of March AD One thousand 
eight hundred and twenty four, and recorded on the twenty fifth of November 
One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine in Book H page 346 in 
the County of Alachua, which said three thousand acres three thousand acres 
is part of a survey of six thousand acres, and which said six thousand acres 
is a part of an absolute grant of sixteen thousand acres made by Governor 
Coppinger of east Florida on the sixteenth day of March AD One thousand 
eight hundred and seventeen to Domingo Fernandez for services rendered the 
Spanish Government, and is now filed by the Court of East Florida for Confirm
ation, together will all and singular the Hereditaments and appurtenances 
thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and 
reversions, remainder and remainders, rents issues and profits thereof and 
all the estate, right title and interest, claim and demand whatsoever, of the said 
party of the first part, either in Law or Equity, of in, or to the above bargained 
premises, with the appurtenances, To have and to hold the said premises 
above particularly mentioned and described, to the sole and only proper 
use, benefit and behoof, of the said party of the second part, his heirs and 
assigns forever, and the said party of the first part, for himself his heirs
