Alachua County	     } This Indenture made this fourteenth 
day of July in the year of Our Lord, One thousand eight hundred & thirty 
one Between Margaret E. McTier of the first part and Sylvenus Ellis 
of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said Margaret E. McTier for and 
in consideration of the sum of One hundred and thirty Dollars to her in 
hand paid, by the said Sylvenus Ellis, at or before the sealing and 
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
hath bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, and confirmed, and by 
these presents, doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release & confirm, unto
the said Sylvenus Ellis, all my right and title to the possession, which I 
now Occupy, in Newnansville, situate S.E. of the Court House, To have 
and to hold the said premises, hereby granted, bargained, sold, unto the 
said Sylvenus Ellis, his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof, of 
the said Sylvenus his heirs and assigns forever, and, or no other use in
tent, or purposes, whatsoever and lastly the said Margaret for herself her 
heirs the said premises unto the said Sylvenus Ellis his heirs and assigns 
against all and every other person or persons, whatsoever, shall and will 
Warrant and forever defend, by these presents.- In Witness whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand & seal, the day and year above mentioned
