			Be it remembered that 
on the third day of April 1844 before me 
Elias B. Gould -- Judge of the County Court 
St. Johns County came the above & within & 
named Moses E. Levy, who is personally 
known to me to be the same person therein 
named & acknowledged that he signed and 
sealed the within Deed for the purposes 
therein named & wished the same to be recorded 
according to Law

Statement of the land or plantation in Alachua county, East Florida, purchased by me from Moses E. Levy on April 1st 1839 See annexed Deed embracing it Original Grant ------ 1000. Acres Land surrounding and adjoining said Grant as purchased of the United States (365 73/100ths acres) In all as contained in Moses E. Levy ‘s Deed of conveyance to Peter S. Smith 1365 73/100 ths acres of land more or less Whole consideration of Deed & Mortgage $6875 of which sum Smith has paid Levy, See Levy's receipts, the sum of $2148.18 exclusive of a****ing interest to be added to the mortgage
