This Indenture made the sixth day of October in
the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and 
twenty seven between Isaac N. Cox of St. Johns County 
Teritory of Florida of the first part and Robert Raley 
of said county of the second part, Whereas the 
said Isaac N. Cox is justly indebted to the said 
party of the second part in the sum of One hundred 
dollars lawful money of the United States secured to 
be paid by his bond or Obligation bearing even date 
herewith in the penal sum of Two Hundred law
ful money aforesaid Conditions for payment of 
the said first mentioned sum of one hundred Dollars 
on the sixth day of April One thousand eight hun
dred and twenty eight, as by the said bond or 
Obligation and the Conditions thereof may ap
pear.  Now this Indenture witnesseth that the 
said party party of the first part for the better se
curing of the said of money according to the conditions 
of said bond or Obligation and in consideration 
of One Dollar to him in hand paid by the 
said party of the second part the Receipt
